Overview

Pappway is an eco-conscious ecommerce platform dedicated to promoting sustainable living. With a focus on minimizing ecological footprints, Pappway offers a diverse range of environmentally friendly paper-based products and biodegradable items suitable for serving food and beverages, particularly for takeaway purposes.

1.0 Research and Discovery

Objective

The primary objective was to establish a brand identity that reflects Pappway’s commitment to sustainability, reliability, and convenience to the target audience. Additionally, the UI/UX design aimed to improve user engagement, streamline navigation, and create a seamless shopping experience.

My Role

As the designer, I led the development of Pappway’s Brand Identity and UI/UX design. The goal was to make sure that everything users see and interact with on the platform matches the brand's values and meets their needs perfectly.

Research and Analysis

After diving deep into what eco-conscious consumers are looking for, I found out they desire sustainable options in pretty much everything they buy online. Looking at what others were doing, I spotted a big opportunity. There wasn't really a platform out there that nailed both sustainability and making things easy and stylish for shoppers. So, that's where we saw our chance to shine.

2.0 Design Process

Sketching

Before jumping into the design work, I did some thorough research on sustainable branding, eco-friendly design, and the green world.

Concept Developement

The central theme of the Pappway logo revolves around the representation of growth, vitality, and sustainability. The design features three green trees, symbolizing the progression from small & dark to large & light, embodying the journey towards environmental consciousness and positive impact. An arrow positioned beneath the trees signifies forward movement and progress, akin to the trajectory of sustainable living.

For the typography, a serif font was chosen to convey a sense of timelessness, aligning with the brand’s emphasis on quality and reliability.

UI/UX Design

Pappway is designed to be user-friendly, with clear navigation and attractive visuals, ensuring customers can easily discover and buy eco-friendly products.

3.0 Wrap-up

Deliverables

Brand book was compiled; guidelines on logo usage, color schemes, typography, imagery, and brand application across different media channels.

The UI/UX design deliverables included interactive prototypes, style guide, and responsive web design assets.

4.0 Conclusion

Mission Accomplished

The branding and UI/UX design initiatives successfully positioned Pappway as a leader in the German market for sustainable living within the ecommerce landscape. By combining visual appeal with functionality, Pappway not only communicates its core values effectively but also drives positive change towards a greener future.
